T-UK English Championship Success

Sunday 5th February saw a team of T-UK Leeds coaches and competitors travel across to the George Carnalll Leisure Centre for the 2023 English Championships. At previous events, T-UK Leeds of only had a few members participate but this year, it was nice see others gaining in confidence and wanting to give a go and support each other and the association.

10 student in total tried their hands at pattern, sparring and breaking (for the adults), a fine turnout

Elaine Chung - Bronze Patterns and Silver Sparring

Ben Garcia - Gold Patterns

Jordan Garcia - Gold Patterns

Dan Brooke- Bronze Sparring

Megan Bostock - Gold Patterns and Silver Sparring

Hugh Tomlinson - Bronze Patterns

Emma, Neil Schofield and Aiden Wong didn’t medal put put in a great effort never the less

I have always said medals are great but it really is the taking part and the support of your team that is most important to me and we certainly got that on the day

I must also thank the Schofiled family, the Chung family and friends, Oleks and Gabrielle and Sarah and Ruben for coming along to support. I know the guys really appreciated that.

A huge thank to Master James Miley for the invite and also thanks to all the officials on the day who worked effortlessly. This really made for a smooth and successful day.

Imsure the results of this event will encourage more guys to have a go at the next one
