T-UK Umpire & Technical Course 2019

Its been a busy couple of months for Concepcion Fernandez as she works towards her Black Belt grading on Sunday 12th May.

On 17th March, Conchi attended the T-UK Umpire Course in Manchester.

The course was conducted by Master Ian Ridley and Mr James Miley and consisted of a theory presentation in the morning session and putting all the theory into practice with a practical run through in the afternoon.

This is always a good course and everyone present seemed to learn a lot whilst having fun at the same time.

On 7th April Conchi then attended the T-UK Technical course, again in Manchester.

This course was conducted by Master John Archer, Master Ian Ridley and Mr Andrew Crisp.

The course consisted of running through basic elements of movement, covered all coloured belt patterns in detail and finished with technical kicking and a resume of all set sparring drills.

This course is very tiring mentally but all the attendees picked up loads of valuable information whilst all training together, which is hugely important.

Conchi is now ready for her black belt test and Leeds T-UK wish her all the best in trying to become the first black belt to come from the club.

I’m sure luck wont be required as Conchi has trained really hard for this event.
