T-UK Leeds Grading
The 9th December 2021 saw T-UK Leeds's colored belt grading.
This was the first grading the club have had since 2019 due to Covid pandemic.
Master Archer travelled up from Stratford-Upon-Avon to conduct what was a very thorough test.
This grading was the first many of the student had taken and it was obvious that there were many nervous students in the hall.
Once we got going, the nerves settled and everyone acquitted themselves very well.
The proceedings start off with patterns and technical row work and kicking.
At every stage, students who had finished their section of the grading were seated.
Once the technical work was completed, everyone joined back in to complete fixed sparring and free sparring section.
1-step and 2-step sequences were completed as well as some self defense work.
The final sections were breaking and theory work.
All elements were completed to a high standard, considering the nerves and Master Archer was happy with what he saw.
Congrats to all student who participated and who performed well.
It is perfectly normal to be nervous for a grading and also normal for mistakes to be made. Over all though it was a good job and things will get much easier as student progress.
Thanks again to Master Archer for coming over to test the students and also thanks to Emma and Adam for conducting the grading and demonstration well.
