T-UK Leeds Grading, 20 June 2024

Thursday 20th June saw the first grading for T-UK Leeds this year.

The grading was overseen by my good friend Master John Archer, the president of our association.

27 students graded and I have to say this was the best grading we have had since I took over the club.

That was not because of the numbers but because of the standards achieved.

The students were tested on general row work, technical kicking, pattern, fixed and free sparring and also breaking for the seniors.

The standards were great and Master Archer and myself were really impressed.

Master Archer pointed out some improvements to be made and these aligned with things we have been talking about in the club. This shows a really good understanding of techniques between the senior grades which is always pleasing.

Huge thank you to Master Archer for coming up for the test. It is always a pleasure to see you. Thanks to Adam and Oleks for the support during the test and also thinks to the parents for the support they show throughout the year.

Final thanks to the student who did a great job.
