T-UK Instructor Course

On Saturday 27th January we travelled down to North Leamington for the T-UK Instructor Course. The course itself was taking place on the Sunday but on Saturday, I go the chance to train with the T-UK International Instructors, covering patterns from Yong-Ga to Tong-Il.

Each pattern was completed step by step and then a thorough analysis was made of each, prior to running through in normal time. It is not often we all get together to train so this was a real treat.

Most of the seniors then met up for a meal on Saturday evening for further discussions.

On Sunday, Emma and Anton Chung joined us for the T-UK Instructor Course. The course was presented by Master John Archer, Master Ian Ridley, Master James Miley and Master Andrew Crisp.

The course was interactive, asking the student about the requirements of an instructor, ideal halls and areas as well as all the policies and structures in place to support a new instructor.

In the afternoon, there was a practical session where everyone had a turn at instruction and advice was given on teaching techniques and corrective measures.

All in all a good day was had by everyone.
